Hi, I'm Danie Hermes avid bird fan and avian photographer. I have been taking landscape and wildlife photos for a little over 5 years now and love capturing the beauty of nature.

What Equipement do you use?<\/span><\/svg><\/h5><\/div>

Currently I am shooting on a Sony A7RV body and my back up is an A7RIV. I tend to prefer Sony lenses for ease of compatibility. My favorite lens for birds is the Sony FE 200-600mm f\/5.6-6.3 G OSS. Its quite a little power house for how lightweight it is. I also carry a 2x teleconverter for a little extra oomph.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

What is your favorite birding spot<\/span><\/svg><\/h5><\/div>

I live in the town of Gilbert, AZ so I tend to bird rather locally as I have a toddler which means major travel is a very special occasion. My favorite places to bird are Great Water Ranch and the Higley recharge ponds as both are close to my home and teaming with feathered friends. I highly recommend both sites. When I do get a little extra time to be outdoors I usually chose Boyce Thompson Arboretum.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>
