Hey there, I'm Danie the photographer

Hi, I'm Danie Hermes bird fan and avid avian photographer. I have been taking landscape and wildlife photos for a little over 5 years now and love capturing the beauty of nature.

I am also a mother who spends a lot time thinking about child based science communication/ literacy. I love sharing my passion for nature and birds with my son and other children learning about this bright wonderful world. On this site I share photos from my many birding escapades and in the future I hope to include information on introducing children to birding and nature walking.
